Weekend Box Office March 4th - 6th

Here we are again with the latest for the weekend box office. Not too much is surprising for the weekend but it was good business to start off the month.

  1. Rango: $38 Million Dollars *OPENING WEEKEND*
  2. The Adjustment Breau: $20.9 Million Dollars *OPENING WEEKEND*
  3. Beastly: $10.1 Million Dollars *OPENING WEEKEND*
  4. Hall Pass: $ 9 Million, with $27 Million Overall
  5. Gnomeo & Juliet: $6.9 Million, with $83.6 Million Overall
  6. Unknown: $6.6 Million, with $53.1 Million Overall
  7. The King's Speech: $6.5 Million, with $123.8 Million Overall
  8. Just Go With It: $6.5, with $88.2 Million Overall
  9. I am Number Four: $5.7 Million, with $45.4 Million Overall
  10. Justin Biever: Never Say Never: $4.3 Million, with $68.8 Million Overall

Pretty much what would be expected once Rango rolled into town. Taking No. 1 was no hard feat for the Johnny Depp CGI film as reviews coming in have been overly positive. It's still amazing to see The King's Speech still sticking around in the top 10 and it's also interesting to see how much some films bombed. The Topher Grace film Take Me Home Tonight debuted at No. 11, even worse then Drive Angry debuting at No. 9.

Next week will be a true test to see how much Rango can stay afloat with two big movies coming out in the form of Battle: Los Angeles, the big sci-fi invasion film starring Aaron Eckhart and Mars Needs Moms the latest CG Disney film to hit 2011.
