Look Out World! WoW Players Can Now Raid OUTSIDE! (well...soon)

Uh oh.... for years now people have been homebrewing, hacking, modding, and doing whatever else they can to get WoW onto any sort of handheld device they can. None of them have been truly successful yet those clamoring to keep their crack with them on the go have kept on trucking.

Enter the Switchblade!

Ah! here it is!

A new portable gaming device/media player/laptop sort of thing that promises to make PC gaming truly mobile. Brought to you by Razer and shown off at CES 2011 this device will have a keyboard with technology similar to E-Ink found in some cell phones. Basically when you open a game (they show of Warcraft 3, WoW, and Quake Arena) the digital display on each key changes to fit the game. For WoW it will give you a D-Pad, all the spells for your class, as well as other hot keys. You can see what I mean by the video above (though at first I didn't take this thing seriously from their choice of opening speaker).

If this thing can do what they say it can AND do it well, then the long standing dream of nerds bathing in the sun as they march around Kalimdor killing and questing can finally be a reality.
