Afternoon Kiddies!
Boy do I have a treat for you! This afternoon I stumbled across the first officially released picture of Chris Evans in full Captain America attire! It comes from a copy of Entertainment Weekly and being a scan of the page isn't of best quality but it's clear enough to see how he looks. Also we have production art of what the Red Skull should look like in the film. It's just a drawing so you can't really see how life like it will be but it's promising that they are going for such a detailed look. Pics after the jump.
I personally think he looks badass, though the suit itself looks a little too advanced to have been made in the 40's. Evans is really coming along and looking more and more like Steve Rogers with every pic released. Now onto the production art for the Red Skull.
Looks like they are going for a look similar to the last time Skull was in the Captain America comics (before he was killed). Also it's badass to see him holding the cosmic cube. I honestly can't wait to see Hugo Weaving in make-up. Recently the Comic nerd world has been set a blaze with rumblings that the trailer for Captain America: The First Avenger, has been held off from debuting because "They don't think it's perfect yet". Apparently this set off red flags for people thinking "OH NO THE FOOTAGE SUCKS, THE MOVIE MUST BE TERRIBLE". If you ask me I don't think it's a big deal or a statement to poor quality of the film. Even though the movie is 6 months or so from debuting they are still perfecting any CGI as well as editing and just want to have the final product represented the best that they can. I'm sure you can expect a trailer soon, with the latest being the Super Bowl.
