Randy Savage RIP and thank you for the memories.

Randall Mario Poffo aka The Macho Man Randy Savage died today suffering a heart attack while driving in his Jeep Wrangler and then swerving off the road and into a tree. His 2nd wife Lynn who was in the car with is said to be ok physically. Earlier in the month they had just celebrated their first anniversary.

According to TMZ who broke the story:

"Florida Highway Patrol tells TMZ ... Savage was driving his 2009 Jeep Wrangler when he veered across a concrete median ... through oncoming traffic ... and "collided head-on with a tree."
Savage was transported to Largo Medical center, where he died from his injuries.
Savage's wife was a passenger in the vehicle during the collision -- but survived with "minor injuries." She was transported to a different local hospital where she was treated.
According to officials, Randy and Lynn were both wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident.
Cops say alcohol was NOT a factor."

Currently on Twitter Hulk Hogan is completely devastated over the news commenting on Twitter that he and Savage had just started talking again after 10 years of no communication between the Mega Powers.

I will attempt to keep track of events through out the day and update this post as news comes in.

Update: Via TMZ: Officials tells TMZ ... later today, Randy's remains will be transported to the Pinellas County Medical Examiner's Office ... where doctors are scheduled to perform an autopsy on Savage sometime tomorrow.

Update: TMZ did a LIVE cast for their Sirius show and talked to former 3x WCW Heavyweight Champion DDP Diamond Dallas Page where he talked about how if it wasn't for Randy Savage DDP wouldn't have gotten as big as he did and that he was hand picked by Savage to feud with. DDP would go on to talk about how he was surprised to see that Savage was again doing media stuff in WWE All-Stars and thought it was great and that maybe he would do Comic-Con and draw a huge crowd. When the topic of steroids come up he said he didn't know anything about that. DDP would go on to say how close they were and how great a performer he was and how at house shows he would go very light but when the camera was on it was intense and a whole 'nother level.
