Namco Doesn't Like The Tekken Movie, Thinks It Can Do Better

For those unaware there was a live action Tekken movie made that was released last year. It never really made it stateside (though it will this year in a Blu-Ray/DVD release) but we got to see it for ourselves nonetheless. As a film overall.. it's awful, as a videogame film it's middle of the pack. There are certainly worse game films out there (Legend of Chun-Li, The King of Fighters), but there are better as well (Mortal Kombat, Prince of Persia, hell I would even say the Van Damme Street Fighter). Either way Namco didn't take too kindly to it and is putting together a CGI based film similar to their opening cut scenes for their games.

Titled Tekken: Blood Vengeance, the story hasn't been released but the film itself will be out this summer in digital 3D. Here is a trailer for you to judge!
