Damn you Fox

According to Variety's Rachel Abrams, 20th Century Fox has tapped 30 Days of Night director David Slade, to helm a "continuation" flick for Marvel's man without fear, Daredevil. Apparently, not being considered a reboot, the report says:

David Slade ("30 Days of Night") is set to direct the next "Daredevil" movie for 20th Century Fox. Slade, who had been in talks to direct Wolverine before losing the gig to Darren Aronofsky, is tasked with taking the film in a different direction from the 2003 "Daredevil" starring Ben Affleck, but is being described as a continuation of the story, not a reboot.

What this also means is Fox has officially blocked Marvel and Disney in regaining to rights to develop their own Daredevil movie.

As for who would play ole hornhead Jason Statham had expressed interest in appearing as Daredevil in the future. But of course, that's just speculation
