Sony recently held a meeting with developers in the UK outlining their intentions with the NGP and what they expect from these 3rd party companies. Developers are encouraged to develop similar titles for PS3 and NGP at the same time but to make the NGP title different enough to warrant a purchase on the handheld as opposed to it being a carbon copy of the home console game. NGP games will also be expected to be on the Playstation Network the same day they are released in stores which was something Sony couldn't maintain for the PSP GO. I guess Sony wants as strong of a software backing as they can get and right out of the gate or else the eventual high price tag will be incredibly hard to swallow.
