World Cured of Focker Disease, True Grit FINALLY No. 1

After 2 weeks of brainless drones being tricked into putting their hard earned money in the Focker threequel, Common sense has finally struck the box office as True Grit claimed the top spot in at the box office this weekend. Due to the lack of any major new release and the stench of another Nicholas Cage film scaring people away, True Grit was able to take in $15 million as it takes 1st place for the first time in it's three week release. Little Fockers still managed to take second place as it came in with over $13.8 million, followed by Nick Cage Presents Tax Payoff # 15 Season of the Witch with $10 Million. Breakdown of the top 10 below.

1) True Grit: $15 Million this weekend, total gross $110.4 Million (3 weeks)

This weekend will see the release of The Green Hornet starring Seth Rogen and The Dilemma starring Vince Vaughn and Kevin James. I think this weekend belongs to Green Hornet with Seth Rogen fans and comic fans alike coming to check it out. Advertising has been ramped up over the last 2 months to put butts in seats. The Dilemma has a chance to take number 2 based on it's stars and even a chance to claim the top spot but I gotta go with the nerd film on this occasion. I guess we shall see come Monday.
