Weekend Box Office January 21st - 23rd

Another weekend and another box office report. We have a new No. 1 but other then that not much has changed. Here we go!

  1. No String Attached: $20.3 Million *OPENING WEEKEND*
  2. The Green Hornet: $18.1 Million, with $63.4 Million Overall
  3. The Dilemma: $9.2 Million, with $33.3 Million Overall
  4. The King's Speech: $9.1 Million, with $58.6 Million Overall
  5. True Grit: $8 Million, with $138.6 Million Overall
  6. Black Swan: $6.2 Million, with $83.5 Million Overall
  7. The Fighter: $4.5 Million, with $73 Million Overall
  8. Little Fockers: $4.3 Million, with $141.1 Million Overall
  9. Yogi Bear: $4 Million, with $88.8 Million Overall
  10. Tron: Legacy: $3.7 Million, with $163.2 Million Overall

Not really surprised with the new No. 1, It's a slow weekend and people like romantic comedies, not to mention Natalie Portman's ass. The big surprise is The King's Speech almost over taking The Dilemma for No. 3. That shows a lot of good for King's Speech, and a lot of BAD for Dilemma. I am also excited that True Grit has a good chance to jump ahead of Little Fockers for box office total gross.

Opening this weekend will be Jason Statham Drives and Kills People 37 The Mechanic. While your typical Statham movie it still looks like it could back a nice afternoon entertaining knife to the chest. Also opening up is The Rite starring Anthony Hopkins. Hopkins plays a priest that is training a seminary student in the ways of exorcism. In the process Hopkins becomes possessed himself. Tough to call which one may grab the most people, either way it's a decent weekend to go to the movies.
