It's an XBOX Live Block Party, and We're All Invited!

Morning boys and girls!

XBOX Live has invited us to a block party! and by block party I mean they have 5 new Arcade cames being unloaded on the masses next month and wanted a hip and snappy name to commemorate such a milestone. for 5 weeks we will be treated to some nice titles on Live spanning several genres so there is something for everyone.

First up is the HD remake/update to cult hit Beyond Good and Evil. Personally I have never played the game but it's niche following has been constant enough over the years to convince Ubisoft to work on an anticipated sequel. If you ask me this HD remake is a way to get new people to experience the original before the advertisement train starts rolling in for part two.

Next we have Diablo Clone dungeon crawler Torchlight. Now all kidding aside this game was released a year or so ago on PC and is a true dungeon crawler of quests, loot, gold, and killing tons of mobs. You choose from 3 classes (your basic magic, melee, ranged) and you also get a pet! They attack enemies with you and can also be equipped with item and carry loot for you. It's quite an enjoyable game and depending on what they add to the Live Arcade version I may be purchasing this...again.

3rd party member is Hard Corps Rising, which is a remake of the Sega Genesis title Contra: Hard Corps. It gets the fresh coat of paint that is HD graphics, keeps all the nice little power ups, and health bars! It does also seem to have a more futuristic Anime look to the game with ninja running, Akira cycles, and Dynasty Warriors style rock music! Should be a good pick up for any fan of a good Shoot'em up.

In case you hadn't had enough of it on FACEBOOK (yes... a facebook game is getting released onto XBOX Live and NO it's not Mafia Wars) Bejeweled Blitz is coming to live during the 4th week of the block party (Man..Microsoft really knows how to throw a party). You all by now should know what the hell this game is but if not it's bejeweled...for 60 seconds at a time...with power-ups... there is probably some way to load your score onto the facebook game.. moving on.

To close out the festivities we get a little Danny Tanner Presents Full House Poker! So that way when you slow down on all the drinking from this shindig you can relax with a nice game of cards. It's poker, you really don't need to know anything else. So there you have it 5 games to kick off the new year! Which you will probably only get 1... maybe 2 at the most before Marvel vs Capcom 3 comes out that month.
