A hacker going by the codename cptz3r0 (Captain Zero for those not brushed up on their leet speak) has compromised security for MMO Runes of Magic, free to play MMO for what he says is the game creators blatant disrespect to player's free speech and the unnecessary spying of their own employees' activities. He posted this on the site's forum.
Lots of demands and at the expense of the account information of over 3.5 million users of the game. How are you protecting freedom of speech by saying you will release people's private information? Not to mention when signing up for a company's message board you are agreeing to their rules and moderation of said board which is protected by whatever acts set in place my their country's government (in this case Germany). I really don't see how this guy is standing up for freedom of speech or can be seen as a hero. He's a computer hacker who decided to hack into a FREE MMO! If your life is so boring that you have to compromise the security to a small time online game because you don't like how they moderate their boards it's time to turn off the computer and go outside. Like most people that do this he will more then likely be found because anything you can do the government can do better and they will find you no matter how you hide your true IP address or what you use to keep your identity secret. You will never be like Zero Cool. Oh BTW he posted a creepy robot voice video. Here it is.
2 weeks people, til this man brings "justice" to those "wronged" by this company... >.>
