Skype has just been purchased by Microsoft for the gigantic price of $8.5 Billion! and will be incorporated into XBOX Live, Windows Phones, Outlook and more in the near future. Microsoft has also stated it will continue to support the 3rd party usage of the software and not make it exclusive to Winows/Microsoft systems and products.
No time table has been set for when we can expect Skype to be on these products though the first wave of news being at E3 wouldn't be surprising.
